A taste of the pretties I just poured into the store. I’m going to take a break (maybe enough time for shower and nap) before I make a dedicated post to the newest donger in the lineup, Cybil, the Dreamweaver. I still have a lot of necklaces I haven’t photographed, so they will probably go up today or tomorrow, along with SQUISH packages WOOO!

A note on customs: For now, I am only taking two-color customs in order to make the process faster for people who want toys and don’t need full-spectrum rainbows. All your favorite effects are still available to you, and all at no extra charge besides glow-in-the-dark, as usual.

A note on necklaces/squish packages: If purchased without a toy, these will be shipped in yellow bubble mailers, which means if you have “squeezers” in your household and you don’t want them to know you’re getting silicone objects, message me and I’ll find you a box!

I also buffed up the timespan from 1-2 weeks to 2-3 weeks. There are 5 of each model (and 5 for each size for Cybil), so we’ll see how this works out, if I get overwhelmed or have time for more complex customs.

I can’t thank you all enough for how patient you’ve been, and I’m excited to bring six sizes of this model to the table!

New things in the shop!

The new Xenova and Corys are now available on etsy, as well as a clutch of ready made eggs – including a couple of limited edition ‘Rocky Horror’ Labiova. Get them while they’re hot!

I’ll be getting a bunch of orders out tomorrow and will refund excess postage for any multiple purchases affected. Also aiming to make more eggs over the weekend to have in the shop next week. Thanks for all the support, cheers all!

frisky-beast:

1) We hope to offer it again this summer.
2) We ask that you have an artistic background and some experience with mixing pigmented material. All other information we’d be happy to discuss privately after reviewing an application and resume.
3) That would be a tough call, the orders received were higher than last year. Over the holiday season we were processing between 15-25 orders a day, five days a week.
4) Fantastic to hear, we’re very glad to know he’s helping you out! Thank you for the kind message 🙂
5) Yes, very shortly.
6) Yes, but please keep in mind the more translucent the silicone, the more likely imperfections are to be visible within.
7) Yes, please submit a ticket with your order number and the color desired. We are in the process of implementing individual Overload color options on the site.
8) Soap and hot water or boiling both work.
9) At the moment we do not have a specific date as to when customs/guided mysteries will return. There are a lot of changes to be made before then, if/when it happens there will be an announcement here and via the newsletter.

Hello folks, we hope you had a great holiday! I apologize for the silence on this page, we have been focusing on completing orders and starting 2017 with as little in the queue as possible. There are several changes coming in the next few months. As we do at the start of each new year, we’ve reviewed your feedback and worked on ways to improve for the future. In 2017, Frisky Beast hopes to –

– Provide larger quantities of in-stock items, including regular drops with colors, models and sizes recommended by you.
– Update the website with a more comprehensive inventory page, new product/color photos, and a customizable profile system.
– Offer a wider range of pre-set/quick turnaround color options.

– Work our production time down.

In order to see these changes happen, we have kept some of our hired help from over the holiday season. In order to pay our employees a fair and livable wage, we will be adjusting prices for some of our add-on options, specialty colors and accessory items. We want our toys to an affordable treat for everyone, and will be keeping base prices the same and solid color options free.

Keep an eye out in the very near future for the return of our Frisky Friday Featured toys, as well as fun seasonal colors and new storage bag options!

shapelytoys:

I’ve added a whole slew of new items to the Shapely Toys shop! There are a lot of new things to talk about here.

First is that I’ve
started working with metallics to expand my color palette further. The
pink/gold Incisor I particularly like because the pink is a two-tone
that shimmers blue when light reflects off it, so it adds another
dimension to it.

I’ve also added more of the usual blacklight, normal and glow in the dark colors too. The Bird in black and white has been one of my most requested designs, so I’ve made a second one. If you’ve had your eye on it, check it out now, because it might go quick!

New Monty vs. Retro Monty

The tarnished copper Monty on the left is the updated model, and the lavender/white one on the right is the original model. This particular one has a bit of a lean, but I find it endearing.

Monty now has a smoother overall curve, more skin fold detailing around the base, and major changes to the topside plate design. The head is slightly less pointed and overall it has a heftier appearance than before.

Retro Skoll vs New Skoll

Retro Skoll – technically Skoll 2.0 – is on the left, and New Skoll – technically 3.0 0 – is on the right. Skoll 1.0 was retired early and is being replaced by something else.

New Skoll features a few tweaks that differentiate it from 2.0. The base has been completely retextured, and as you can see in the last image, the base is now a little wider overall. Some awkward geometry in the head has been fixed, as it printed a little differently than expected the first time, and the urethral opening is more pronounced.

His tattoos have also been retooled slightly, to make up for them getting a little washed out by my coating methods on the previous model. They’re a bit more streamlined now and alter how the toy looks from the topside… but I think it’s for the best!

ashesthekinky:

Let me introduce to you the first pull of my model The Chubby Gargoyle. Looking for something cute, short, and fat? Well this little guy is your ticket. I am so happy with how drastically my vacuum chamber reduces the airbubbles! This little guy just needs his base trimmed then he will be for sale. I won’t be listing him until next week when I get back from my trip!

Dimensions of The Chubby Gargoyle:
Usable length: 4 inches
Total length: 5 inches
Circumference of head: 4.5 inches
Circumference of shaft: 6 inches
Circumference of base: 9 inches

monstermaxim:

Welp, this is not how I had hoped to reveal the Quru, but oh well.

I have bad news and bad-sorta good news.

yah, so the bad news is that my first attempt at the Quru failed. See pics above. My poor birdy.

The bad-sorta good news is that I have to postpone my surgery. A few days ago, I was getting ready to pay the physician fee of 481.75 when they dropped the bombshell on me that I would also have to pay 2000.00 for the facility fee. If they had told me that when I was at the appointment scheduling the surgery then I would have told them that, wow,  I cant do this right now, I am not made of money.
So the sorta good news is that my shop will remain open and not go into vacation mode this month.
If things work out I can reschedule the surgery for sometime in march.

So after all of that happened, I went ahead and made a mold of the Quru using Rebound 25 and mold star 15. This was my first time making a reversible mold instead of a sleeve mold. A day after making the mold I decided to pour my first Quru, I thought I had adequately coated the inside of the mold with ease release 200. But nope, I did not.
The demolding process was frustrating and painful. I just wasted almost 5 Droths worth of silicone.

After demolding the Quru I just put it down, walked away, and went to take a shower.

I hate the feeling of failure.

I spent the next day in denial. I didn’t even want to look at it. The day after that I was starting to feel better and finally went over and picked the Quru up, gave it a few squishes and started to examine my mistakes. I realized that not all is lost. The mold might be salvageable and the original sculpt is undamaged ( except for the feathers) I can remake the feathers, better and with less small detail for easier demolding.

Everything will be okay. Its something I gotta tell myself a lot.

I am not sure when I will get a chance to continue working on it. But I will complete this monster bird someday. I will have my Quru!
