BUYER BEWARE: FRISKY BEAST

house-of-cum-guzzler:

I just want to put this out there to my followers interested in buying nonstandard silicone sex toys; Please know the risks before ordering from Frisky Beast

There are many consumers going
into buying frisky beast toys without knowing the previous issues this company has had and continues to exhibit.
Whereas, there are many people sharing their experiences in order to warn others across many platforms.  Since theyre scattered across platforms, I’ve decided to make this list as a single place where they can be accessed easily.

Hopefully this list is helpful and helps you judge for yourself before committing to an order.

  • They have not been answering tickets customers have been sending.  There are
many people on the BD forums with the same experience of having tickets
    ignored.
  • They have been caught providing a false tracking number to at least one customer who filed a paypal dispute.
  • If you open a paypal dispute against them, you can never order from them again. (this is in their frequently asked questions section of their web page)
  • They recently appear to be ignoring requests for refunds in roughly any form be it disputes, emails, and tickets.
  • They can take anywhere from 1 week to multiple months to ship a premade item.  There really is no consistency.
  • The retrieval cords on their eggs CAN NOT be
sterilized, even through boiling.  The weave of the cord holds bacteria
and can be incredibly unsafe to reuse especially if they are being used
    anally.
  • At least two customers have received insects in sterile bags containing products.  The first is this post [Archived], the second is a comment within the notes on that post
    • wonkswanks said:
My last FB toy had a bug on it upon
arrival also. I figured it was a rare and unfortunate thing, but now,
      idk.
  • Designer who submitted the Mosasaurus and Spinosaurus describes their experience with FB as poor, detailing communication blackouts with the owners.  [Archived]
  • Possibility of design theft involving their Mammoth toy
    • Original post, archived due to FB forums being MIA: 1 | 2
    • Their company sculptor Video said in the thread that the base was too large; FB’s mammoth has no form of testicles on the base of their mammoth
    • FB
claims that the mammoth was based off of elephant genitalia but there
are many elements on FBs mammoth that are the same within the forum
      submission which are completely absent or wrong in real life elephants;
creating issue with the excuse of it being similar only due to its
      pachyderm inspiration.
    • FB has been shown to have previously altered submitted toy ideas, without consulting the design creator, as seen above.
    • Original Artist quote:
      • The girth of the toy is intended to be fairly large, as is the length,
but the shape will allow the toy to be handled in a fairly easy manner.
The shape will also allow the user to easily penetrate, and while it may
be a fairly boring shape, the texture will hopefully make up for it.
The texture consists of folds, veins and wrinkles for that organic look
        and (hopefully) feel.

Basically, it’s a girthy, lengthy toy with a lot of natural textures.

  • Bad pours (see Bug in a bag link)
    • Misleading promo and poor shipping practices (1 | 2 | 3 | 4)
    • Bad custom and extensive communication issues (1 | 2 | 3) [archived]
  • Horror
stories about orders; Orders (regardless how large) can take anywhere
from 2 months to 2 YEARS as proven by at least one ongoing case of a BD
forum member who ordered during the Planet Terabyte promo and still has not received their order.
    • Examples of wait times and horror stories  1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8
      • Archived  1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8
    • 2 year old custom order still unfulfilled: 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8
  • There is no consistency with their queue regarding repours or order
priority as can be seen from some customers getting things shipped out
immediately and other orders taking upwards of 7 months to 2 years.
  • When
confronted about issues, the owners often default to the excuse “We are
only a 2 person company.” While they have allegedly have added one or two more
people to their team, this has done roughly nothing to offset the
customer service issues. There is also no being sure whether these two
    additional people still work there.
  • They are generally inactive on all their social media accounts and have made no
attempt to account for chronic poor customer service and shipping
    issues.
  • Even after ceasing production of guided mysteries, they continue to struggle to ship things in a timely fashion.

I will be completely honest, I believe some of aforementioned list would be excusable if they simply made an effort to communicate to clients in general;  when orders will be behind, slow, or what sort of factors are keeping them from working at peak efficiency.  But as it is, FB does not seem to believe this to be a necessary step in their business.

There are other low staffed indie toy companies that respect their customers enough to keep them as in-the-know as possible with their orders and things that will affect wait times.  It is not an impossible feat to excuse FB from.

The
multitude of issues with their customer service have been consistent
and chronic throughout the years and have only gotten worse as of
recently with the influx of people making paypal disputes against them.

Further incidents from earlier in their business can be seen on the now abandoned Frisky Beast Complaints Blog.

THIS IS NOT A COMPLETE LIST. There are many customers who have been burned who simply do not have Tumblr or haven’t posted about their experiences. This is absolutely by no means an end-all list. There are more stories of bad pours, absurd wait times, bad quality control and communication issues than are listed here.

Information and evidence behind the Woolly Mammoth’s design being potentially lifted from Frisky Beast forums;

  1. Theropod’s response to the anonymous accusations made through this blog about the design being lifted.
  2. A conversation with the suggestion designer after Theropod’s response.
  3. The first page of the Woolly Mammoth suggestion thread.

  5. The additional thread created after Frisky Beast’s Woolly Mammoth release from the suggestion designer about their concerns.

Update!

frisky-beast:

Hey folks, just a quick update. We are continuing with the Spring Fling/Eggstravaganza event, though unfortunately some real-life personal matters (unrelated to toys) have taken me out of the Frisky Beast office more than I’d like recently. We still have employees working on orders while I am away, and I do apologize for any delays in ticket response/tracking updates that have occurred this past week.

Thanks for your patience – expect the last of the drops, and one more surprise, before the end of the month!

Have you been seeing anyone’s Frisky Beast orders from around Christmas come in yet? I know FBs had issues with wait times, and I’m kind of super paranoid that my two toys will be a hassle to get in the end OTL I already ticketed them asking for an ETA and didn’t receive any helpful feedback, so now I guess I’ll just ask the community huh

I personally don’t keep an eye on many order posts; followers?

Same Anon about FB: to clarify, they DID respond to the ticket, but it was something along the lines of “were still backed up with orders, were a two person company” etc. This was way before FWA ;_;
