model quality: 10/10, hodge’s models are superb and there’s a ton of thought poured into this guy. he’s immaculately designed and both looking at him and using him you can tell that the design of his tongue and the base have a lot of deliberate choices made on them that help with usability. the modeling is very smooth and organic, it’s another very well thought out design from hodge!

model uniqueness: 100000/10 on this one; i’ve never been into oral toys that much but he converted me based on appearances alone. there’s a few oral toys out there but you WON’T find any like this one

pour quality: not to sound biased (i’m a bit biased) but all of hodge’s pours are stellar. i normally prefer more neon and unrealistic fantasy looking pours rather than flesh ones but this pour is still extremely high quality! there’s a lot of subtly blended colors and the entire thing is packed with rainbow and red glitter plus heaps of beautiful golden and green pearlescence in the green base

usability/difficulty: alright, so if you’re considering buying a kappa this is the point i wanna hammer in: HE IS BIG. HE’S WIDE. YOU PROBABLY WANT A SMALLER SIZE THAN YOU THINK YOU DO. don’t underestimate him! the small kappa SEEMS very small and is definitely short but he is VERY wide, ESPECIALLY in medium firmness where he doesn’t yield so much. if you take ‘medium’ (read: terato dildo fandom’s definition of ‘medium’) to large dildos very easily on a regular basis, go for maybe a small in medium firmness or a medium (once hodge drops those) in soft firmness. this is not a bad thing AT ALL but something to really be aware of because it’s very easy to underestimate this guy. if you want him to roll up and be more gentle definitely nab a soft; at medium firmness and while lubed up there’s not much you can do to roll him so he’s just simply a very stout, wide, flat, short dildo. he is tapered very well which helps but know that he still takes some effort to take even as a small medium

best for…: external and texture based stimulation! his tongue is designed with dfab folks in mind imo and it shows! he won’t be able to hit your gspot or cervix (unless they’re placed very uniquely i guess, y’never know yknow), so he’s best if you like stimulation externally or near the entrance

cleanability/cleaning notes: you’ll need to clean him off quite thoroughly because of all the nooks and crannies! note that water and other liquid can pool in the base easily. his teeth and tongue are also magical lint magnets but that’s not hodge’s fault because silicone is just like that no matter what shape it’s in, just make sure to give them extra attention

so this guy is a super unique model and i’ve been raring to get one of my own since hodge first started posting the concepts and test runs of him! i was at first apprehensive about the small size being maybe too small but he’s Proved Me Wrong. he’s very wide and if i ordered him again (which i’m honestly debating doing so in custom colors) i would personally strongly prefer to have him in soft. he’s really awesome though and if you want a completely unique addition to your collection then i recommend him! i would personally say that at least in medium firmness he’s a medium to hard level difficulty dildo due to how wide he is and if you’re a beginner and have trouble with girthy dildos i’d suggest refraining OR get him in supersoft. even if you can’t take him though, he’s super awesome for external stim especially if you’re dfab, but i imagine the groove down his tongue would be a fun stim on genitalia if you’re dmab as well

to compare him to other models folks might own, he’s about as wide and slightly thicker than the lower parts of hodge’s own small scylla, a bit wider but flatter than the thick part of qimera forge’s one-size amphibian, and wider but vastly flatter than the thick part of frisky beast’s (now acquired by twin tails) medium croxic. definitely inspect his photos closely and don’t underestimate him based on height alone if you’re debating ordering him

OVERALL i’d say he’s an excellent model and i’m excited to experiment around and find different ways he could be used because he feels like a very versatile little guy! if you’re a seasoned or semi-seasoned dildo connoisseur i recommend him, and if you’re a beginner and enjoy external stim a lot he’s worth investing into as a unique piece in your growing collection. side fun note: the way the top of his mouth clamps down especially with some hand pressure may make it possible to slip a bullet vibe snugly in there 👌
