(1/2)maybe not the right place to ask but googling this is apparently impossible. so, i wanna try my hand at making toys (starting teeny tiny, aka “im already buying silicone so might as well see if i can make one for myself”, dont feel like opening an etsy off impulse) but finding info on what materials to use is so difficult cause its buried under everything about “how to BUY” instead of “how to MAKE” safe sex toys. do you or anyone else have any resources/forums/blogs for learning

(2/2) mostly WHERE TO BUY SAFE MATERIALS? as in, SPECIFIC COMPANIES, because all i can find is a vauge “make sure its skin safe!!”. i found a good silicone place (smooth-on) but what about pigments, mica, glow in the dark stuff? are there specific suppliers that are reccomended? that are KNOWN to be body safe, not just ADVERTISED? i dont trust amazon on that front really. just please, where do ppl learn this, where do i buy all the pretty glow stuff thats not gonna poison murder m’vagine T-T

Googling it is not impossible, as it is how most stores find the information they need. Your problem may be arising from using incorrect terms; instead of ‘body-safe silicone’, search ‘platinum cure silicone buy online’; instead of ‘body-safe pigment’, ‘mica’ or ‘platinum-cure silicone pigment’. Very few people that I know of do not buy through Amazon, and their efforts in finding and purchasing the materials they need are not hindered in the least.

Smooth-On has pigments that are safe for this use; Pearl EX pigments are also common in this market. The rest I have to say I wish you the best of luck in finding yourself, as I maintain the belief that if you cannot find the basic supplies on your own, it is best to do more research on the materials and what to be looking for.

Hello! Do you know of any harness usable toys that are long but thin while still being pretty textured? I’m talking like- ten inches usable or longer and not being over two and a half inches at its thickest.

I can’t think of any- I’m afraid I haven’t spent much looking at harness toys, or knowing which ones would work with a harness; followers?

I have just found your Bad Dragon posts- I have several toys from them and I had no idea how bad they were. I never want to support them again. I just have 2 dilemmas- A) what do I do with all the toys I already own? And B) the reason I haven’t invested too much into smaller stores of the etsy variety and such is that I am… quite the size queen and almost any toy I have found outside of Bad Dragon is woefully too small. Are there any whitelisted companies that specialize in very very big toys?

A. That’s up to you. Bad Dragon has nothing to gain from you keeping them; if you are bothered by owning them, you can sell them secondhand – the Dragon Hoard forums have sections for this purpose. They’re your toys, though; do what you feel is right with them.

B.

This is by no means a complete list, just what I could think of off the top of my head and with the aid of the Discord chat!

Writing feedback for an etsy adult toy maker?

a-bag-of-dicks:

There is an increasing number of toy makers on etsy selling dildos and other adult products.  This is an awesome thing as inexpensive body safe toys are getting easier to find

But I have seen some confusion over how to grade a purchase sent from an etsy maker.

Here is a short list of things to consider while writing etsy feedback

  • Did the product arrive in a timely manner?
  • Was the product in good shape and did it match the image (if applicable)?
  • Did the product dimensions match the dimensions of the listing?
  • Was communication and customer service during any interaction friendly and helpful?
  • If there was an issue with your purchase, is it something that can be changed due to an inaccuracy to the listing?

Please don’t knock down a star because you didn’t read a listing or because a size you chose didn’t work for you.  Consider it like this; It’s not the seller’s fault if you chose an item that is too small for you or too large for you, so why ding them in a review?

Makers do their best to provide a service and product specific to the order placed. Please be considerate if all of the needs in their control are met.  Please read measurements and consider its size before purchase.

Reviews for a small business are important and do make a difference.  This can really be applied to anything but it’s incredibly important to etsy sellers in the adult industry.

Why is having products based on “children’s” media listed as a negative on the Bad Dragon blacklist page when you endorse shops like GeekySexToys which almost exclusively make toys based on children’s shows? As long as it isn’t based on a minor character I don’t see the problem, and I think you musn’t either if you see the difference between what BD did and what GST does. Please consider rewording the issue on the blacklist, as implying liking a “kids show” is pedophilic is really ableistic :(

The point about GeekySexToys is true; I had intended to have them on the blacklist page as well, seeing as they have also blatantly stolen designs. Them being listed elsewhere is an error of my own doing, and I apologize.

However, no, saying that BD is pedophilic for making toys for people who want to have sex with My Little Pony characters, with art of the penetrable character being chosen specifically to be an angle which makes her look younger, is not ableist. If it were just liking the kids’ show, that would be different; wanting to fuck characters from a kid’s show and making money of off sex toys designed after kids’ shows is not the same thing as ‘liking a kids show’.

To be honest I think that as long as the original owners of frisky beast are still employed by ttc, their transgressions should continue to be a consideration against ttc as a whole. TTC cannot employ known scammers and pretend they did nothing wrong or expect their reputations to vanish

I agree, that’s fair, especially considering the difficulties that have continued with old orders being filled after the ownership was transferred.

when did herpy even shut down because I ended up there once looking for scaly stuff like 8-10 years ago and they definitely had bestiality-themed message boards then, so either BD was incredibly blind or they let it slide for yeaaaaars lmao

Herpy was shut down shortly after the masterlist made mention of it existing; I believe a year, perhaps two ago?

Most people know that Tredecim is a rather shy man. He’s known for being that gentle giant who comes to the tavern to buy drinks for the crew when he sees a ship in port. After all, the pirates aren’t always there to cause trouble and who doesn’t like a bit of fun? As the night wears on in Tredecim’s company the shy man begins to relax. He jokes around with you and the crew, telling story after story of all the things he has seen on his journey across the land before he came to live in this small town. He has a booming voice and a laugh that rumbles through your bones. He also doesn’t seem overly shy as he cuddles up to various people over the course of the night, enjoying their company and their attention. But once the night grows too late Tredecim leaves the bar determined to head home. The crew tells you how rare it is for him to come out, that he seems to save it for special occasions when the big guy is feeling especially lonely living his solitary life and that if you’re quick you could probably catch up to him on his path home. The question is, will you?

Introducing Tredecim the werewolf. This toy has a nice smooth finish with a canine themed tip, swelled shaft and a chunky knot. The base is fairly thin and this toy should fit in some harnesses depending on if you can squeeze that knot through or wiggle the base into place.

This model was designed and sculpted within my shops first year prior to opening. At the time of launching the shop I thought this boy was too big so shoved him into storage! I’ve decided to pull him out for a test run this Friday the 13th. There are only 13 of these toys available from April 13th through April 15th. After that this listing will be taken down. This toy may return in the future, or might not. Honestly I haven’t made up my mind presently. This was a hand sculpted clay model which means it has a less glossy finish compared to other toys that I offer. Please see the etsy listing for information on the colors being offered.
